DMCA Copyright Policy
We respect intellectual property and respond promptly to valid copyright notices under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act.
Last updated:
1. Copyright Notice
KDP AI Studio respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects its users to do the same. Uploading, generating or storing content that infringes a third party's copyright violates our Acceptable Use Policy and our Terms of Service.
We respond to valid notices of alleged infringement in accordance with the DMCA (17 U.S.C. § 512) and comparable laws in other jurisdictions. Note that we host private user workspaces; we do not publish user content, and we cannot remove material from Amazon KDP or other marketplaces — those claims must be sent to the marketplace directly.
2. How to Submit a DMCA Notice
Send a written notice by email to support@kdpaistudio.app with the subject line "DMCA Takedown Notice". Submitting by email allows us to act fastest; we acknowledge receipt within two business days.
Before you send a notice, please consider whether the use may be authorised by the rights holder, by law, or by fair use. Knowingly filing a materially false notice can expose you to liability for damages and legal costs under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f).
3. Required Information
To be valid, your notice must include all of the following:
- A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or a person authorised to act on their behalf.
- Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed, or a representative list where multiple works are involved.
- Identification of the material claimed to be infringing, with enough detail for us to locate it (account email, project name, URL or screenshot).
- Your full name, mailing address, telephone number and email address.
- A statement that you have a good faith belief that the use is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent or the law.
- A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are the owner or are authorised to act on the owner's behalf.
Incomplete notices cannot be actioned, but we will tell you what is missing.
4. Removal Process
On receiving a valid notice we will:
- Acknowledge receipt within two business days.
- Expeditiously remove or disable access to the identified material.
- Notify the affected user, providing a copy of the notice and instructions for filing a counter notification.
- Record the notice in our repeat infringer register.
Where material is clearly unlawful, or where the account shows a pattern of infringement, we may suspend the account at the same time.
5. Counter Notification
If your material was removed by mistake or misidentification, you may send a counter notification to support@kdpaistudio.app containing:
- Your physical or electronic signature.
- Identification of the material removed and the location where it appeared before removal.
- A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief the material was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification.
- Your name, address and telephone number, and consent to the jurisdiction of the federal court for your district (or, if outside the United States, any district in which we may be found), and that you will accept service of process from the complainant.
We will forward the counter notification to the original complainant. If they do not file a court action seeking to restrain the activity within 10–14 business days, we may restore the material.
6. Repeat Infringers
We maintain a repeat infringer policy. Accounts that receive multiple valid, uncontested copyright notices will be terminated, and the user may be barred from creating new accounts. Terminated accounts are not eligible for refunds under our Refund Policy.
7. Contact
All copyright correspondence, including notices, counter notifications and questions about this policy, should be sent to support@kdpaistudio.app. You can also reach us through our contact page.
